Words

it's not what was said, but who said it

it's not what was said, but who said it,
how sweet it is to be murdered by the
poisonous dagger of your enemy
than to be wounded by the one to
whom your heart harbours love
frail strikes and lasting wounds,

words

what then of actions and feelings?

Once I witnessed something similar a few years ago with a friend, I kept thinking "why?? why?", is it because we don't know how to chose a friend? Is it because it wasn't a friend and they were munafiqeen all the past time and now their real face is revealed or is it none of the above but a true friend who failed to step on their jealousy?..what is it that makes a friend wound you?...The question is still there..the answers are only guesses...

yeah, isn't it?

betrayal of any sort is enough to wound a friendship and sometimes its also when a friend does something contrary to what you expect of them and they let you down---so failed expectations in the general sense and perhaps betrayal in the more specific sense

heheh, and worse yet many a times the friend in question may not even be mindful of the spears they've thrusted into your frail heart :)
