In Time

The darkness that encloses,
hoping for a glimmer of light,
mourning the abyss of my soul,
Pleading for our Mother;
the coldness of this night

In time,

only colder, the blood no longer
gushes in these pallid veins,
cold, how can i describe this granite
heart, if i but possessed one

In time,

blame me not for the inequity,
wrought by your own hands
your fate twined,

In time,

With the flickers of righteousness
Shuddering the chambers of your nafs,

In time,

If you listen. You will be lead.

As usual…your poem knocks our conscience's door offering us a cocktail of reminders, pushes and hopes. Reminds us of the right path, pushes us towards it and gives us hope of success and relief.
