okay, enough... stop watchin Lost or whatever t.v. series you folks are addicted to (okay, fine, im the one addicted to it :P) and watch something beneficial (not that Lost is time lost, hah, but ..err anyway) yah, this is really good, exposes a lot of the misrepresentation of the facts we continually see our media engaging in...
Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land provides a striking comparison of U.S. and international media coverage of the crisis in the Middle ... East, zeroing in on how structural distortions in U.S. coverage have reinforced false perceptions of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This pivotal documentary exposes how the foreign policy interests of American political elites--oil, and a need to have a secure military base in the region, among others--work in combination with Israeli public relations strategies to exercise a powerful influence over how news from the region is reported. Through the voices of scholars, media critics, peace activists, religious figures, and Middle East experts, Peace, Propaganda & the Promised Land carefully analyzes and explains how--through the use of language, framing and context--the Israeli occupation of the West Bank and Gaza remains hidden in the news media, and Israeli colonization of the occupied terrorities appears to be a defensive move rather than an offensive one. The documentary also explores the ways that U.S. journalists, for reasons ranging from intimidation to a lack of thorough investigation, have become complicit in carrying out Israel's PR campaign. At its core, the documentary raises questions about the ethics and role of journalism, and the relationship between media and politics.

There is a lot of truth in the video. The western media is indeed biased.
The reality on the ground is harsh all across the Middle East. However, the Arab media is equally guilty in its biased reporting.
If I want balanced and fair reporting, I have to go to western media web sites and then web sites like Aljazeera and look for the truth somewhere in the middle of the reporting of the extremes from each side.
Both sides follow the same principle of sensationalism through horror and propagandizing about their side having a mandate from God. Each side is portrayed as being the only one in the right and unjustly treated and portrayed.
People need to start being concerned about what God is going to think about so many of them justifying their unholy actions in His Name.
Wake Up World!!

Thank you Micheal, first for commenting and giving much wanted life to this barren blog :P and second for your insightful comments.
I couldn't agree more, indeed both sides are not actively trying to present the truth, but only their versions of what the truth should be, and as mandated by the politics and the agenda's they so religiously hold.
all in all, we have much to thank for the information age we live in and how accessible information is, the truth is far more accessible then it ever was,no excuses...and in many ways it serves to thwart the deception the mass-media still spews into our eyes and ears.
Ah..as for man acting in the name of God and justifying their atrocious filth with it---this is probably as ancient as man himself. Sad as it is, it seems it will continue, so long as man is foolish enough to construe his free-will as a license for wantonness.
glad you found the video enlightening...
Peace
